The Boat House Bistro is an independent friends and family owned restaurant at the core of which are two couples: Mark and Karin Guerin, and Ralph and Elena Smith. These four restaurant industry "musketeers" met at Spruce Point Inn, right here in Boothbay Harbor, Maine back in 1999 and have been inseparable ever since. Coming from New Hampshire, Austria, Delaware, and Russia respectively, the four adventurous, food and fun loving souls, after years of searching, learning, and growing finally worked their way up to what they had always been dreaming of – a restaurant to call their own. The Boat House Bistro is the place where knowledge, experience, and passion come together. Mark's expertise in wines, Karin's European chef training, Ralph's business ingenuity, and Elena's genuine hospitality are the pieces of the puzzle which when put together create a restaurant where good food and fine wines are enjoyed in the company of true friends. Day in and day out, Mark, Karin, Ralph, and Elena work side by side with the rest of the members of their big restaurant family: Tricia and Brian, Emily and Jay, Alka and Timmy, Nikki and Gleb, Miriam, Cookie, and Lauren, people without whose dedication and hard work the Boat House Bistro success would have stayed nothing but a dream. Summer time foreign exchange students are a big part of what the Boat House Bistro is as well! Bringing fresh perspectives and new languages into the fun filled Boothbay summer mix, the exchange students are much missed when they have to return to their countries and academics in the beginning of each fall. The cultural exchange programs benefit all: we get to experience the lovely young people from around the world and the world gets to learn how fun and dynamic life in the US is and what our Boat House Bistro interpretation of the American Dream looks like!

Since 1997 Portland Pie Company has offered premium gourmet pizzas, appetizers, salads, pastas, and sandwiches along with a full bar to its customers.  Portland Pie set deep roots in Maine for the first 13 years, establishing locations in Portland, Scarborough, and Westbrook, Maine.  Recently, Portland Pie ventured out of state to open a restaurant in Manchester, NH, with another new location in Nashua opening before the end of 2011!

We are a family owned and operated New England retail pizza delivery and carry out company. We have been servicing the Burlington, Vermont area with two stores for 20 years and opened a third store in Portland, Maine in 2007.

We are proud to have received “Best Pizza” recognition with numerous awards. Our family members have created all of Leonardo’s pizza recipes, taking pride in the development of traditional, vegetarian and gourmet pizzas. We have worked hard over the years to be creative and innovative in our flavor combinations.

We make dough daily in our store using King Arthur Flour and prepare our ingredients using the finest tomatoes, cheeses, flour, meats and vegetables.  All our pizzas are made with organic whole wheat or white crust, using the highest quality ingredients, resulting in a fresh and flavorful pizza with integrity, always striving for perfection.

Imagine yourself walking off a busy street in America and through a door that takes you back in time to the cozy and communal atmosphere of a traditional pub 100 years ago in Ireland. This is what David Kelly and Ciaran Sheehan set out to accomplish when they built their first Rí Rá pub in Charlotte, NC in 1997. They set to work in Dublin to meticulously restore the unique Victorian bar in the middle of the Charlotte pub.

Originally built in the early 1800's for the officer's mess in the Phoenix Park Barracks in Dublin, the beautiful craftsmanship has stood the test of time. Sitting over a quite pint, visitors are welcome to peruse the collection of old Dublin Corporation Ledgers written from 1800-1840.

David and Ciaran have stuck to their original goal and each Rí Rá pub is completely unique and different to the next. Designed, developed and built by Ciaran in Wicklow form authentic and often famous old pubs in Ireland, such as the Olympia Theatre which first opened in Dublin in 1879, before being shipped to America. David and Ciaran grew up together in Dublin, Ireland and emigrated separately to America, one to pursue a career in design the other in Guinness marketing. As the business grew the two befriended and became partners with Jay Luther, an experienced multi-unit operator who now runs Rí Rá Holdings, LLC.

A private golf club located in Cape Elizabeth, encompassing 188 acres of finely groomed grounds with a newly renovated clubhouse, wrap-around deck and ample parking. Available for business meetings, luncheons, dinner parties, cocktail receptions, holiday parties and wedding receptions.

Portland, Maine.... A fellow surfer and, at the time, our Amesbury, MA Flatbread GM, Bobby Morgan called us from Portland in 1999 describing a burned out hulk of a building "right on the water". A littler over a year later, Bobby opened this Flatbread overlooking Casco Bay in Portland, and moved to Cape Elizabeth. Portland embraced both Flatbread and Bobby and we have all been together ever since.

Since 1955, we have been serving lobsters fresh from the waters surrounding Bailey Island. All of our seafood and meats are of the highest quality. Our lobster, shrimp, scallops and shellfish are purchased right at our wharf to ensure supreme freshness. 

We are a destination for tour groups. You can take Nature Cruises, fishing and sailing charters right from our dock, hold a lobster bake or a wedding on Cook's Point, and watch lobstermen bring in their catch on our wharf. We also hold many special events during the year such as beer and wine dinners, fireworks in July, tuna and sport fishing tournaments among others.
