Who's Cooking

Maine chefs and restaurants have been gaining national attention for several years now. Maine restauranteurs are proud to be part of the burgeoning farm-to-table movement, using fish, meat, organic produce, and locally grown fruit from our very own farmers, fishermen, and suppliers. When you add “bold and innovative” to “fresh and local,” you’ve described the spirit of Greater Portland’s restaurant scene and its talented chefs. Come experience the flavors of these amazing chefs and their restaurants at Harvest on the Harbor.

Our Featured Chef: Michael Ruoss

A native of Old Orchard Beach, Michael Ruoss earned a degree from Maine Technical College's culinary program (now SMCC) in South Portland. After relocating to New Orleans, Ruoss quickly ascended in the elite culinary empire of Emeril Lagasse for 11 years and is currently Corporate Chef of Catch, a restaurant he opened in 2010.

Don't miss Ruoss, who will be cooking at Friday's Ultimate Seafood Splash and Saturday's Savory Samplings at the Marketplace.
