Q.  Where can I park?
A.   There are numerous parking lots and garages in the vicinity. See the map under Directions for exact locations (indicated with a blue P symbol).

Q.  What are the public transportation options to get to the event?
A.   From out of the area, you can arrive by bus (Concord Coach), Amtrak train (The Downeaster), or plane (PortlandJetport.org).  
 
Once in Portland, the METRO bus provides service between downtown and the airport, mall, and other outlying areas, such as Exit 48 where there are several hotels. Maps and route schedules can be found at gpmetrobus.com.

Q.  Can I bring my children / infant(s) to any of the Harvest on the Harbor event activities?
A.   Harvest on the Harbor is only for those 21 years and older.  Maine Law prohibits the presence of children (including infants) at any alcoholic beverage tasting events.  (Public Law, Chapter 459 - Sec. 1. 28-A MRSA 460 - effective September 12, 2009)  
 
During Saturday's Marketplace Color Me Mine (a paint your own pottery place) will be offering a special Harvest on the Harbor for Kids event from 12pm - 4pm.  For more details click here

For Harvest Dining at area restaurants Friday and Saturday night, check with individual restaurants about the suitability of bringing children.

Q.  Can I bring my pet to the Food & Wine Marketplace?
A.   Pets are not allowed at Harvest on the Harbor unless they are assisting animals.

Q.  Will I be able to purchase tickets on site, on the day of the event?
A.   For any event that is not already sold-out, tickets will be available for purchase on-site. Last year, the Grand Tasting sold out early; in addition, we also expect several events to sell out; to assure admittance to a particular event, we recommend you purchase tickets in advance.

Q.  Is there a single price for a ticket that is inclusive of all event activities?
A.  All events are priced individually. You can purchase up to 10 tickets at a time through the ticketing page on this site.

Q.  Once I pay the admission price for a particular event, are there other fees to taste any of the foods, wines and spirits?
A.   There are no additional fees; all tastings are part of the single admission price. Cookbooks by authors who are demonstrating at the Viking Kitchen Stage on Saturday will be on sale for an additional price.

Q.  Is there a limit to the number of wines I can taste at the Grand Tasting or Marketplace.
A.  There is no specific limit but please drink responsibly and, if driving to the event, consider having a designated driver.

Q.  If I’m not drinking, do I still have to pay the full admission price?
A.  Yes, there is one admission price only.

Q.  Is there a discount for purchasing a group of tickets to an event?
A.  Yes, for parties of 10 or more, contact us at (207) 772-4994.

Q.  Are there any hotels, bed & breakfasts or inns offering Harvest event tickets as part of their package price?
A.  Yes. Lodging establishments offering Harvest packages are listed on this site under Lodging. Check each package carefully as they are all different and do not all include complimentary tickets.

Q.  What happens if it rains during Harvest on the Harbor?
A.  All events take place either indoors or under tents and will occur rain or shine.

Q.  What is the attire for each individual event?
A.  Thursday’s Grand Tasting is considered “funky to fancy” – “business to evening” – we welcome you to come as you’d like.
 
Friday’s events are all located inside.

Saturday’s Marketplace is located under heated tents but we still suggest you dress for fall weather. 

Saturday evening's "Harvest UnCorked!" at The Landing at Pine Point is an evening full of food, wine and dancing and we encourage you to get dressed up for a fun party!

Q.  If I can't make it and I have already purchased tickets can I get a refund?
A.   All Harvest on the Harbor tickets are non-refundable.  However, they are transferrable so you  may give them to someone else who would like to attend.

Q.  How much time would I need to get a good overview of the Marketplace on Saturday?
A.  To visit all the booths in the Marketplace, as well as to see a cooking demonstration in the Ocean View Room, you should allow at least 2 1/2 hours.

Q.  Are there any shopping discounts that I would get with my event ticket?
A.  Attendees will be given a "Passport to Savings", chock full of discount coupons to use at participating vendor establishments.
