WPXT is The CW network affiliate in southern Maine.  WPXT was the first digital television station in Maine and has consistently introduced new technology to Maine broadcasting including stereo broadcasting and streaming video online.  WPXT targets female viewers with a combination of traditional daytime programs (court shows and talk shows), popular syndication (Are You Smarter Than A 5th Grader, My Name Is Earl, The Simpsons, Scrubs), and edgy network primetime programming (Gossip Girl, One Tree Hill, 90210, Melrose Place, America's Next Top Model, Vampire Diaries, Supernatural and Smallville).   CW Crew members are active in community projects and local events.
