A self-described “Maineiac” who was born and raised in the seaside town of Old Orchard Beach, DennyMike has artfully combined his restaurant experience with a passion for “’cue” that he discovered during travels with a buddy throughout Mexico and Texas. The result: A bona fide Yankee with a commitment to the best possible ’cue around.

 

DennyMike’s ‘Cue Stuff (www.dennymikes.com), the talented ’cue chef’s line of hand-crafted barbecue sauces and rubs, launched in 2002 after several years in the making. During the successful run of his Maine restaurant, DennyMike’s Smokehouse BBQ and Deli, DennyMike perfected the recipes and ingredient combinations for his sauces and rubs – with countless enthusiastic “taste-tests” and valuable feedback from loyal customers. 

 

The sauces and rubs, made in Maine in small batches and using only the finest ingredients, quickly created a legion of “wicked happy,” barbecue-worshipping fans. Word began to spread that the ’cue from the pits at DennyMike’s restaurant rivaled the best in the nation, and so in 2008, DennyMike turned his attention to bringing the unique blend of sauces and rubs he’d created to barbecue lovers around the country. DennyMike’s ‘Cue Stuff was born – and off to a promising start.

 

Barbecue sauces from DennyMike’s – “Sweet ’N Spicy,” “Hot ’N Nasty,” “Mesquit-O Madness” and “Carolina-Style” (launched in 2008) – have enjoyed a level of success that not even DennyMike’s Texas friends could have predicted. DennyMike’s robust barbecue rubs (“Chick Magnet,” “Cow Bell Hell,” “Pixie Dust,” “Sublime Swine” and “Fintastic”) are earning raves from barbecue-lovers, as well.
