Kathleen Fleury grew up on Cousins Island in Yarmouth and graduated Phi Beta Kappa from Middlebury College in Vermont. Fleury has had a diverse range of publishing experiences she worked in Manhattan at both the Zachary Shuster Harmsworth literary agency and at Random House¹s cookbook imprint, Clarkson Potter. Currently she is the Associate Editor for all Down East-branded products, including the book, magazine, and online divisions. With a passion for food, she also serves as Down East's Food Editor and blogs as the Maine Mouth on DownEast.com.
Kathleen was one of three premier judges to determine the finalists to participate in the Lobster Chef of the Year Competition.
