Jay Biddy and Andrew Martelle have been collaborating for years, but it wasn't until Martelle moved home to Maine after 10 years in Nashville, TN that the pair decided to start a roots project of their own.

North of Nashville pairs two songsmiths with insane memory banks of thousands of original and cover songs in the rock, folk and country genres and injects them with the simple goodness of footstomping delight.

It's the kind of down-home sound that feels right at home in a grange hall or your front porch.
