Eighteen amazing culinary displays from Maine’s most noted chefs and purveyors await your discriminating pallet at this year’s Grand Tasting on the Harbor. They will be joined by 29 beer, wine and spirit providers offering samplings of more than 100 varietals for you to explore. From noted restaurants like Primo, Zapoteca, Sea Glass, and the Old Port Sea Grill along with a spectacular seafood & raw bar with smoked salmon, mussels and oysters, you won’t want to miss this foodie extravaganza! The sounds of the Fogcutters Duo playing jazz along with whoopie pies, gelato and locally-brewed coffee round out the experience. Get one of the few remaining tickets before the event sells out!

This popular lunchtime affair gratifies even the most discerning of lobster aficionados! Maine chefs prepare succulent dishes as they compete for the title of Maine Lobster Chef of the Year. Presented by the Maine Lobster Industry, this annual event is a favorite and will surely satisfy any guest’s crustacean cravings! As a complement to competitors’ delectable lobster dishes, beer, wine, and spirits are expertly paired and presented with each serving.

Four highly recognized chefs join the father of the farm to table movement in Maine to put on a cooking and tasting event with a championship at stake. Chef Hanson from Cleonice, Chef Conley from Gather, Chef Altiero from Miranda’s Café, and Chef Levi from Vinland join Emcee Sam Hayward from Fore Street, all competing for the title of Maine’s Best Farm to Table Restaurant. The ticket holders of this event are in for a real taste of Maine with locally grown fare along with a cooking demonstration and an opportunity to participate in the selection of the Top Chef. Robert Kacher Selections will pair up specialty wines designed to bring out the flavor of the chefs’ creations. Homemade oatmeal cookies and gelato along with the entertaining sounds of Dave Rowe make this worthy of your bucket list.

At this special signature event, you are the winemaker. You will get the chance to blend your own wine with base grapes into what California wineries term as a Meritage (rhymes with heritage). Lyeth (pronounced like teeth) Vineyards is among one of the first wineries in California to create their Bordeaux-like blend and market it as a Meritage. You will be welcomed with a glass of Flur de Lyeth and have an opportunity to chat with Glenn Augustine from Boisset Family Estates. You’ll then proceed to tasting and blending Malbec, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Red Meritage before making your own wine creation using your own specific taste preferences. Enjoy the friendly competition and make your own wine!
