Feast and frolic in style at the ultimate Harvest Dance Party! Maine’s newest event center, the Landing, located in coastal Pine Point — a small beach community in Scarborough — is the site for this year’s food, wine, and dance sensation. While enjoying great music, from bagpipers to a jazz trio to a rollicking society dance band.

A sensational harvest dining experience awaits you at “Harvest UnCorked”

This ultimate dining experience starts with vintage Bordeaux-style blends from the Russian River Valley of California and expands to fine French boutique wines that will satisfy the most discerning palate. Wine selections will be expertly paired by Peter Merriam Vineyardsand David Joseph from DaVine Wines.  Rounding out the beverage choice for the evening is Shipyard Brewery's Export Ale.

Headlining the evening, and sponsored by The Danforth Inn, is celebrated chef and culinary artist Carmen Gonzalez from New York City, who’ll present her award winning Latin style cooking using Maine seafood and vegetables in her Mussels and Green Mango Salad.

Native Maine Produce will team up with Chef Margaret McClellan, who is the 2008 Maine Lobster Chef of the Year, to present an array of Maine harvest vegetables from roasted root vegetables, to grilled, marinated and sautéed vegetables. Rounding out the vegetable course will be a chilled gazpacho.

Cheese Maker Jennifer Betancourt from Silvery Moon Creamery will serve a cheese course of her award winning Rosemary’s Waltz (A semi-soft fresh cheese rolled in rosemary with a scattering of juniper berries. Paired with an orange cranberry compote),  Camembert  (soft and earthy with a luxurious white bloomy rind. Paired with a caramelized onion and apple spread), and Lilt – from the milk of nearby Meadowview Farm in Windham, (this dry semi-aged cheese has a thin sprinkling of lavender ladled in amongst the curd. Very subtle, and delightful with a drizzle of Maine honey)

Borealis Breads will feature Savory Maine Coast Focaccia (made from 3 kinds of seaweed – kelp, laver and dulse) and Maine Potato Bread (using Aroostook County Yukon Gold potatoes) all freshly baked by renowned baker/owner Jim Amaral.

Back Bay Grill's Sous Chef, Jason Williams, brings his celebrated reputation to UnCorked! by joining with farmers Rachel and Clint Harris from Harris Farms in Dayton. This joint venture will produce a delectable free range veal dish not to be missed.

Cookbook Author and Chef Kate Krukowski Gooding teams up with Josiah Pierce, the farmer from Pierce Place, to deliver Maine Maple Braised Lamb with Ambercup Squash. The author of Black Fly Stew, Kate Krukowski Gooding, is sure to be a favorite of the evening with another outstanding native Maine dish.

The seafood course will be provided by member farmers of the Maine Aquaculture Association.  They will be sure to over deliver on your expectations of freshly harvested oysters from Winter Point Oysters, Norumbega Oyster, Inc., Pemaquid Oyster Company, Maine Oyster Farms, Dodge Cove Marine Farm, and Muscongus Bay Aquaculture.  The de Koning family from Acadia Aqua Farms in Bar Harbor will be steaming their freshly harvested bottom culture mussels in beer and Tollef Olsen from Ocean Approved will be serving his famous kelp noodles and rope grown mussels.   Chef Cassady Pappas of Bar Harbor restaurants Rupununi, Guinness & Porcelli's and Havana will prepare Coriander Dusted Seared Cod with Apple Pil-Pil using Maine farm raised Cod from GreatBay Aquaculture. Cooke Aquaculture's Chef will be preparing and serving a dish featuring freshly harvested, ecocertified, Maine farmed Salmon.  Finally, Sullivan Harbor Farm Smokehouse will be providing a medley of 22, yes 22, different smoked and roasted seafood treats.

Finishing off your dining experience for the evening will be two outstanding dessert courses. Gelato Fiasco will present two flavors of their locally made gelato - Chocolate Stout featuring Sebago Brewery’s Lake Trout Stout, and Maine Blueberry Sorbetto.

Kristin F. Simmons of Kennebunkport will prepare Cocktail Cupcakes inspired by the Bar Mixology of Autumn. Cupcakes will be showcased in miniature martini glasses and will include Apple Cider Cakes with Vanilla Cream Frosting, Cranberry Cakes with Orange Zest Buttercream and Lemoncello Cakes with Lemon Glaze.
