A Harvest Culinary Walking Tour of the Old Port
Join fellow foodies for a tasty walking tour featuring the culinary talents in the Old Port. Entertaining tour guides share the culinary history of the town while showcasing the talents that make us the "foodiest small town in America"! Tours run often, last 2-2.5 hours, and visit 7 locations over a 1.4 mile walk. Groups are limited to 14 to offer a highly interactive experience.

Friday 10/26
10:30am – Savory and Sweet Souffles -- Staff member and trained chef Matt Burnham will be creating delectable, soufflés including a lemon/blueberry soufflé and a cheese and mushroom soufflé. Come and learn the secret to making these feathery, light creations.
1:00pm –Olive Oil Cake & Olive Oil Ice Cream – LeRoux’s own Liz Harris will be showcasing these lovely desserts using infused olive oils from our own olive oil selection. Our blood orange and lemon olive oils will be featured in these recipes.
1:30pm – Cookbook Signing – Kate Schaffer from Black Dinah Chocolatiers will be here to sign her book “Desserted, Recipes and Tales from an Island Chocolatier”. Kate will also be bringing down some delicious samples from her kitchen on Isle au Haut.
3:15pm – Butternut Squash Ravioli -- Matt will return to the kitchen to demonstrate the process of making fresh pasta from scratch, how to roll out and stuff the ravioli, as well as the secret to making a delicious harvest butternut squash filling.

10:00am – Hearty Hunter Biscuits and Downeast Seafood Gumbo – Maine cookbook author Kate Krukowski Gooding will be on hand to sign her books as well as to create these deliciously savory comfort food recipes. Kate also always brings a surprise treat for tasting while you’re waiting for the main course. You won’t want to miss this!
1:00pm - 3:00pm – Wine Tasting. We will continue to serve Kate’s hot biscuits and gumbo for our October wine tasting. Chosen by our wine buyer, Susan Grenier, along with Pine State Beverage, these featured wines will be available for purchase as well as tasting.
3:15pm – Buche de Noel. – Every good meal should be topped off with a great dessert. We are topping off this fantastic day of food with the king of holiday desserts, the Buche de Noel. Liz Harris will return to the kitchen to remove the intimidation factor, and show you how to impress family & friends by demonstrating how to create this perennial holiday favorite.
